Summer is over and we are getting ready for the tourist season. We welcome back all who return to have another go at finding “THE ELUSIVE BIG ONE” and look forward to hearing about & seeing the results of your fossicking.
 
If you have never visited the Central Queensland Sapphire Fields give it some serious consideration as your next holiday destination.  You never know what Gems you may discover either in the ground or if not so lucky, in our extensive range for your perusal in our shop.

Over the summer period we have had an increase in overseas tourists visiting the Gemfields, the cyclone also had the effect of chasing a few of the tourist in from the coast to find some dry weather.

Since the last newsletter we have travelled to Thailand to attend the International Jewellery Fair to see the latest innovations. The consensus seemed to be that good merchandise was still selling but sales were down overall.

We now have another 50 designs to add to our ever growing jewellery range. We have increased our range of larger stone settings.

The New Fire Shed in Sapphire is up with the internal fittings still to be done.  Over the summer months work has been done at the Anakie/Sapphire Crossroads and now they are upgrading the road into Sapphire from Anakie.

Newsletter Prize:  Congratulations to Nev & Dee from KAIRI who are the lucky recipients of this newsletter prize.

This month’s prize winner was picked from the customer base who answered the last newsletter’s quiz question correctly.

A Cut Zircon of 1.18ct is on its way to them.

The winner was computer generated and the winning answer was 9ct Gold Charms.

New Stock:  As well as the 50 new designs we are increasing our range of Sapphires set in Sterling Silver. 

Tip of the month:  If you are planning to visit the Gemfields this year don’t forget to pack all those Gems you want to get set. Each year we have customers who remember once they get here, that they have left them at home!  Stick a note on your fridge to remind you.

Also don’t forget we can fix those jewellery jobs that need a service and are too dear in the Big Smoke.
